This image was painted for the cover of issue #182 pf DRAGON Magazine.
For me it symbolized the overwhelming majesty of dragons, and captured
my overall delight with things fantastic. Originally, I had wanted to
paint this scene in a contemporary setting, looking out over a suburban
neighborhood, but the art director overruled that. And yes, those are
my kids in the painting, Zachary and Amanda.
